Corporate Tax Manager

PIASCIK is seeking an experienced Corporate Tax Manager to join our growing and well-established regional CPA firm. This important position has unlimited growth potential and requires a motivated, experienced tax professional with strong interpersonal and management skills. A successful candidate should possess a deep knowledge of federal and state taxation.

Your role will include the following responsibilities which are focused around two core concepts: your technical expertise and your ability to deliver excellent quality client service.


  • Manage and grow a portfolio of business clients, primarily C corporations in diverse industries including Technology, Manufacturing and Distribution, and Financial/Professional Services
  • Plan, execute, and deliver innovative federal and state tax planning, consulting and compliance expertise to clients
  • Conduct tax research and tax compliance related to federal and state income taxes, including consolidated/unitary filing requirements and ASC 740 and FIN 48
  • Review and prepare tax provisions in line with ASC 740 and FIN 48
  • Ensure complete client satisfaction through open communication, managing expectations, meeting deadlines and proactively sharing tax saving strategies
  • Work closely with partners and staff on client management, professional development and business development activities
  • Manage, develop, train and mentor staff including performance and engagement reviews


  • Active CPA license required with 6+ years corporate tax experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or MA in Taxation
  • Strong Expertise in ASC 740 and FIN 48, federal and state incentives, and consolidated tax returns
  • Strong technical skills pertaining to tax preparation and review, tax compliance, tax agency correspondence and tax research
  • Working knowledge of CCH Axcess suite of tools (e.g., Tax, Document, Workstream, Dashboard) and CCH Prosystems fx suite of tools (e.g., Engagement, Fixed Assets, Planning) a major plus
  • Ability to maintain and develop profitable, sustainable client relationships
  • A demonstrated ability to self-direct and effectively organize, prioritize and manage multiple engagements under tight deadlines
  • Outstanding leadership, mentoring and interpersonal skills fostering client and staff relationships
  • Analytical skills with detail orientation
  • A resident of the United States/Authorized to work in the United States
